During this past year, all of us were blessed to witness history, as America began its journey to “Become as Good as its Promise.” America came together to elect Senator Barack Obama as the first African American to become the President of the United States of America. A common theme from President Obama has been the need for each American to rededicate themselves to the ideals of America, to make the necessary sacrifices and commitments that make America great, and to commit themselves to community service.
The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (the “100”), a national organization with over 105 chapters and more than 10,000 members, is devoted to improving the quality of life of our communities, and enhancing educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans. The 100 accomplishes this mission through the execution of its four programmatic categories known as "Four for the Future."
The 100 Black Men of Central Ohio, Inc. was formed in February 1999 to support the mission and programs of the 100 and to provide programming support for the youth within Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding metropolitan area. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we, the members of the 100 Black Men of Central Ohio, Inc., remain committed to our national mission, to being and promoting positive images of African American men, to providing on-going service to the community and to consistently providing “Four For the Future” programming.
We hope that you consider supporting us and being about the business of connecting with, relating to, and preparing our young African American children for their journey into higher education and adulthood. We are “Real Men Giving Real Time.”
